Beacon Bid Launches Procure AI Solicitation Review to Catch Gaps Before Release

New AI review step flags the wrong file uploaded, unclear titles, missing dates and other gaps before a solicitation reaches suppliers

AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, October 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Beacon Bid today announced that Procure AI Solicitation Review is now live. The new feature connects Beacon Bid’s e-procurement posting workflow with Procure AI, adding an AI review step that checks a draft solicitation for the wrong file uploaded, unclear titles, missing dates, incomplete scope and other gaps before it is published to suppliers.

“Most solicitation problems aren’t hard to fix. They’re hard to see when you’re moving fast,” said Kim Cullen Prather, Director of Marketing & Growth at Beacon Bid. “Solicitation Review gives buyers a quick second read before anything goes out, so a missing date or a placeholder phone number gets caught at your desk instead of in an addendum.”

A Second Set of Eyes Before Release

Solicitation Review runs as the final step of the posting workflow in Beacon Bid, after buyers complete a solicitation’s basic information, important dates and contact information. Procure AI reads the draft and returns a plain-language summary of how close it is to release, followed by a short list of specific issues, each marked by priority. Fields with feedback are starred in the earlier steps so buyers can go straight to what needs attention.

“We built Procure AI to support procurement judgment, not replace it,” said Stephen Hetzel, CEO and Co-founder of Beacon Bid. “Solicitation Review brings that right into the posting workflow agencies already use in Beacon Bid. The buyer still makes every decision, now the tool just helps make sure nothing gets missed.”

Buyer users review each suggestion, decide what to act on and can run the analysis again after making edits. An easy workflow, routing the solicitation for approval can still be applied after the first Solicitation Review.

What Solicitation Review Checks

The review focuses on the parts of a solicitation that most often lead to supplier questions, addenda or weaker responses:

Uploaded documents: Catches files that don’t match the solicitation, such as the wrong document uploaded, before suppliers ever see them.

Titles: Suggests clearer, more specific titles so suppliers can understand the opportunity at a glance.

Due dates and milestones: Flags a missing proposal deadline or the absence of a timeline for questions and award.

Scope and description: Flags missing requirements or background information suppliers need to assess fit.

Contact details: Catches placeholder phone numbers and email addresses before they go public.

Categories: Suggests category adjustments that make the solicitation easier for the right suppliers to find.

Solicitation type: Confirms the selected type fits the procurement.

Buyers can select Discuss This Analysis to talk through the feedback with Procure AI, or Reanalyze to run a fresh review after making changes.

“A clear, complete solicitation is better for everyone,” Prather added. “Suppliers can tell right away whether it’s a fit, fewer questions come in, and the agency gets stronger responses. That’s the real payoff here for both sides of the solicitation and response equation.”

Procure AI Solicitation Review is available now to Beacon Bid agencies with Procure AI access. Agencies that want to see it in action can schedule a Beacon Bid demo.
